GR20: the most beautiful trek in Europe
180 km through the Corsican mountains, from north to south. 16 legendary stages through peaks, glacial lakes and laricio pine forests.
What is the GR20?
The GR20 (Grande Randonnee 20) is a long-distance hiking trail that crosses Corsica from north-west to south-east over approximately 180 kilometres. Renowned as one of the most beautiful and demanding long-distance trails in Europe, it attracts thousands of hikers from around the world every year.
The classic route is divided into 16 stages, from Calenzana (north) to Conca (south), with a possible stop at Vizzavona (midway). The northern GR20 is known to be more technical and demanding, while the southern GR20 offers gentler but equally spectacular scenery.
Each stage offers different landscapes: vertiginous peaks, glacial lakes, laricio pine forests, torrents and traditional sheepfolds.
